There is a theory about the nephalims: that what was happening there were cross breeding humans with animals. Amalgamation

@jry666652227550580 : As far as God wanting a relationship with all people, perhaps TLC’s comment about God wanting a relationship with Noah’s family is best understood as God wanting to use Noah’s family to demonstrate his love and power. I suspect TLC would agree that God desires a relationship with everyone and wants all “all people to be saved”. (Check out 1 Timothy 2:4.)

@Thelight86 : I don’t want to speak for TLC, but I’ll give you my thoughts. Genesis 4:4 says “Abel also brought of the firstborn of his flock and of their fat portions”. Were Cain’s offerings somehow less than ideal? We are not told that Cain was offering the first fruits of his harvest. Also, Hebrews 11:4 seems to imply that Abel had faith in God. Perhaps Cain was just showing outward signs of belief in God with no real faith.

I'm reading the Bible for the first time and this is helpful. I do have a couple questions though. Why did God not respect Cains offering? And you were talking about God entering into relationships with certain people. Why wouldn't God want a relationship with everyone if we're all his children?
