I have been learning so much about WHO GOD IS & truly understanding that HE is where the JOY is.

Tara-Leigh, since Exodus 21 is directing mankind how to respect life, I find Exodus 21:10-11 a difficult passage. If I’m reading it correctly, the man can take a second wife, but must still provide for the first wife. However, if he does not provide for her, she is free to go, but empty handed. This seems both irresponsible and cruel, since in that culture women typically had no financial means, so left to enslave or prostitute herself. I don’t understand, it seems so unjust, breaks my heart.
