Or perhaps, Job stays silent and Elihu goes on for 6 chapters because Elihu is actually right. Here's the thing: it's possible to sin in your response to suffering even if the suffering was not caused by your sin. You can sin by despairing, accusing God of being unjust, and being self-righteous. In the final chapters of his speech, it seems Job went in that direction. Elihu does not accuse Job of sinning before his suffering but in response to it.

Trump got impeached. I awoke to a broken world this morning. Than again I guess I was born into it. There is song “how many time must the cannonballs fly before they are forever banned. The answer is blowing in the wind.” Actually the answer is not blowing in the wind, it is in Revelations 21:5.
