I’ve been told before that the word love is a general term in the language that Jesus and Peter were speaking to each other in, whether it was Greek, Aramaic or something else, I am not too sure. They would differentiate between the different type of loves with different words so Jesus said Peter do you Philia me, or love me like a good friend, and Peter said, you know you are like a brother from another mother to me, then Jesus asks, Peter do you storge me, or love me like a father, and Peter
