It is interesting that you read Psalm 21 as David bragging however, I read it as a description of Yeshua (Jesus) and his kingship.

You say in verse 5 that David believes his sin and death will separate him from God. You say that this isn't confirmed in the Bible however, Isaiah 59:2 we read that "your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God". We also read many times were God no longer listens to the cries of sinners. Romans 6:23, the wages of sin is death. Not to mention when Jesus cried out after He took on the sin of the world, Matthew and Mark both wrote "my God, my God, why have you forsaken me".
