I love listening to Tara Lee. Although I have been a Christian for many years, I have learned so much from her lessons. She just brings out so many things (theories) I never heard about.

God does implant His desires in us, but there are many (because we are human) that are fleshly desires. He will allow us to receive those desires too. We have to learn to discern otherwise, we take a detour in receiving what we have desired and then realizing it wasn't the best for us.

The father these sons held so highly, was brought so low.

It is interesting to read in 1 Kings 1 6 that David knew of Adonijah's gathering of chariots and drivers yet did not confront him. David knew what this meant. It was the same thing Absalom did. Yet, like when Absalom was coming to Jerusalem, David did not stand his ground. In that instance he fled and in 1 Kings, David ignores. There's an interesting passive mindset when it comes to his sons and we see that his family was peaceful until he committed adultery and murder.
